Enoch Milton Benson (December 20, 1824 - October 8, 1862) was born in Cobb County, Georgia December 20, 1824 to John Berry "Jackie" Benton and Sarah Hamilton. He married Anna Eliza Latimer November 1850 in Georgia.
He served for the 41st Georgia Regiment, Company B Kennesaw Infantry (known as the Kennesaw Invincibles) in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. During the Battle of Perryville, Benson was shot through the heart and died instantly on the battlefield.
He was buried in a mass confederate grave in Goodknight Cemetery in Perryville, Boyle County.
