James Reily

James Reily (July 3, 1811 - April 14, 1863) was a politician and soldier.

He served as a Colonel in the Union Army during the Civil War, and as a Major in the Texas Army during the Texas War of Independence.

Reilly went on to serve as a Member of the Texas Republic House of Representatives from 1840 to 1841, Texas Republic Minister to the United States from 1841 to 1842, and Member of the Texas State House of Representatives from 1853 to 1854.

He died April 14, 1863 and was buried in Lexington Cemetery.
