James William Bryan (June 9, 1853 – April 8, 1903) was the 24th Lieutenant Governor of Kentucky.
Bryan was born in Millersburg on June 9, 1853 to Lawrence Bryan and Katherine Power, both natives of Ireland.
In 1887, he ran for, and was elected Lieutenant Governor of Kentucky, serving a full four-year term under Governor Simon Bolivar Buckner.
Bryan moved to Covington to study law and died there April 8, 1903. He was initially interred in Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell but later was reinterred in Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville.
