Chief Jerry Lee (October 18, 1847 - September 18, 1882) was born October 18, 1847.
He was appointed Frankfort City Marshal in the early 1880s.
He succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained September 10 when he responded to a disturbance at the Frankfort Hotel. He was shot moments later when he responded to a second disturbance call between two citizens at the location.
The man who shot him was arrested and charged with murder.
Chief Lee had served with the agency for at least 11 years. He is interred in Frankfort Cemetery.
