Mary Brooks LaRue Enlow Rathbone (May 3, 1766 - April 1, 1843) was born in Virginia.

She married John LaRue about 1782 in Virginia and settled near Hodgenville, LaRue County, Kentucky. John died in 1792.

Mary married Islom Enlow June 25, 1792 in Nelson County. And later married Thomas Rathbone March 25, 1819, also in Hardin County.

She is credited with assisting Nancy Hanks Lincoln during the birth of her son, Abraham Lincoln in 1809.

Mary died April 1, 1843 at the age of 76 in LaRue County, Kentucky. She was buried in Phillips Fort Cemetery.

Mary's family, the Brooks family, is the namesake for Brooks Station located in Bullitt County, Kentucky. LaRue County is named for the LaRue family. She is the grandmother of Governor John L. Helm.
