The first St. Louis Cemetery opened in 1811 behind the St. Louis Church which was located at 10th & Main. The church moved in 1831 and all grave sites were relocated to Western Cemetery's Catholic Section. In 1867 all the sites were moved again to 1167 Barret Avenue.
