Saint Michael Cemetery, originally called "St. Michael - Gottes Acker" which means "God's Acre", St. Michael was establised in 1851 and uses 48 acres and has approximately 40,000 burials.

This cemetery does not have an onsite office. There is one office that covers the four Catholic cemeteries in Louisville, Ky. They charge a fee for grave locations if you go into the office with a list. If you call them on the phone they will give you the location for free.
